About the Club

Dinton Cricket Club is a friendly family club in Dinton,
Buckinghamshire, a village a few miles south west of Aylesbury. The club
has had ECB Clubmark status since 2005.
In 2010 the Saturday First XI will play in the Home Counties Premier Cricket League for the first time, having won promotion to that league in 2009.
The club also runs two other Saturday sides in the MP Sports Cherwell
Cricket League; the Second XI
are in Division 3 and the Third XI Division 8.
On Sundays the club runs one or two sides. Dinton have consistently
performed well in the National Cricket Village Championship, now known
as the npower
Village Cup. In 2009 we again reached the national quarter finals,
losing to eventual winners of the competition. The club also enters the
Bucks
County Cup competition and were winners in 2008. Outside of these competitions there is a full programme of Sunday friendly fixtures.
The junior section of the club is thriving. In 2009 we ran 11 different teams, from under 9 to under 17 and a girls' team. For full details of the junior section see the juniors
pages.

The club's net practice facilities were completely refurbished in 2006 with the help of grants from Aylesbury Vale District Council and Awards for All. There are ongoing plans to improve the pavilion and its facilities.
