Indoor Nets for Under 9s & Under 10s - UPDATED

Indoor nets for under 9s (softball) and under 10s (introduction to hardball) will be held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium from 6:30 - 7:30pm on Sundays March 14, 21 and 28 (NOT as previously published). Cost £3 per person per session.
All U9s & 10s (years 4 & 5) welcome, as are those 2010 U9s & U10s already on our waiting list.
Under 10s: please bring a box, and do not wear boxer shorts - you won't get to bat if you do!

Junior Newsletter

The first junior newsletter for 2010 has just been published, and you can view it here.

Contains updates on indoor nets, junior membership, junior fixtures, CricketForce 2010, the sponsored cycle ride, 2010 Academy Week and more!

Please note that the dates in the newsletter for the U9 & U10s indoor nets are incorrect. The correct dates are Sundays March 14, 21 & 28.

Sponsored Dinton-to-Dinton cycle ride

On the Easter weekend, April 3 & 4, some hardy cricketers from the club plan to cycle from Dinton CC, Wilts to Dinton CC, Bucks, a distance of 90 miles.
The aim is to raise money for club funds, and to give the season a really good kick-start. Look out for a feature on the club in the Bucks Herald this coming Wednesday.
If you're interested in joining in then just contact Spice. We're also keen to have a few juniors' parents on board - Mick will fill in the details for you.
Sponsorship forms will be circulating soon!
The place to keep up to date is the Dinton To Dinton Bike Ride group on Facebook. (Worryingly categorised under ‘Extreme Sports’ - Ed.)

Kitchen Refurbishment

Here's a link to a photo diary of the pavilion kitchen refurbishment currently underway. Congratulations to Johnny, Ali, Pete W, Neil and everyone else involved to-date.
There's much to do in the kitchen, in the rest of the pavilion and around the ground before the season starts, and activities will concentrate on the CricketForce weekend of March 27 & 28. More to follow on this soon, but please book this volunteer event in your diaries NOW!

Junior Membership for 2010

It's the usual process for junior membership this year.
2009 members will have until early May to send in their forms and payment in order to guarantee a place for 2010. The forms will be sent out in late March.
New members must first join a waiting list, and places will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Full details of this process are here. The waiting list is already growing strongly, so we advise you to submit your details as soon as possible.
An email-only junior newsletter will be sent out towards the end of February, and another newsletter with membership forms will be posted to all members and to all those on the waiting list a few weeks later.

Junior Indoor Nets Schedule

Here are the details of the remaining sessions:
  Thurs March 4:      Under 13s (year 8)
  Thurs March 11:   Under 11s (year 6)
  Thurs March 18:   Under 12s & under 13s
  Thurs March 25:   Girls
Please see the full schedule for details of other age groups and girls' training.
All sessions are at Waddesdon School on Thursdays from 6pm - 7pm, and the cost per person per session is £2.

Senior Indoor Nets

Indoor nets for seniors and under 16s & 17s continue on Fridays at Waddesdon School from 7:30pm - 9:00pm up to and including March 26.

Senior Saturday Fixtures Published

24/01/10

We've updated the website for Saturday league fixtures. The first XI 's debut match in the Home Counties Premier League is away at Finchampstead. Meanwhile in the Cherwell League the second XI are at home to Kingston Bagpuize and the third XI away at Oxford & North Bletchingdon ND's 3rds.
Matches start on May 8.
