2008 Summer Academy Week
Monday July 28 – Friday August 1 2008,
at Dinton Cricket Club
Dinton's Summer Academy Week is back, and it promises to be even better than 2007!
Academy Week is an intense week of cricket coaching that aims to improve every aspect of your game. Open to age groups from under 10 (year 5) to under 14 (year 9), those taking part will be under the supervision and guidance of ECB-qualified cricket coaches and county players from within and outside Dinton CC.
Each day focuses on a particular aspect of the game, coached by specialists in that area. Batting, bowling, fielding (including wicket-keeping), tactics, captaincy, etiquette and being part of a team will all be covered during the week. It won’t all be hard work – serious coaching will be complemented with plenty of games to ensure smiles on faces!
The programme starts each day at 10am and ends at 3pm.
The cost for the week is £100, which includes lunch, all drinks and end-of-week awards. All weekly participants will also receive an Academy shirt. If you can’t come for the whole week, the daily rate is £30.
A large marquee will be available at the ground for us to use at lunchtimes and in case of bad weather. The marquee will host a sleepover on the night of Thursday July 31, at an additional cost of £10 per person. If you wish to attend the sleepover please tick the box on the booking form.
If you want to reserve a place, please return the booking form and permission form with a returnable deposit of £25 to John Morgan, whose address is on the form. Please note that your application cannot be processed without completing both of these forms.
Cheques should be made payable to Dinton CC. Final payment is to be made by May 5.
