Junior Awards Presentation Tonight!   22/07/10
This evening sees the annual junior awards presentation, pulled forward from September in order to make use of the marquee. The first practice session will take place between 5:45pm and 6:30pm (weather permitting), and then the awards will start from 7:00pm. There will be no second practice session this evening.
Come along and join in the celebrations, take advantage of the bar and barbecue, and congratulate our award winners in each age group.
Following the presentations there will be karaoke!
The forecast is not great and so the first practice session may yet not take place, but the presentations will definitely go ahead regardless. See you there!

Thursday 5:00pm Update   22/07/10
The thunderstorm that has just hit Aylesbury missed Dinton, but obviously there is still a chance that the early session this evening (5:45pm - 6:30pm) will get rained off. Please come prepared!
The presentations start at 7pm.

Junior Matches Monday June 28   28/06/10
Changes to the home matches for Monday June 28:

Westcott under 17s have conceded so the home under 17 match is OFF.

As a result, we have switched the under 13 fixture versus Long Crendon from Old Berkeley to Dinton.

There are no changes to the under 10s fixture at Beaconsfield as far as we can tell!

Congratulations to the Under 13s   24/06/10
The under 13s have beaten Great Kingshill by 7 wickets in the semi final of the Bucks Cup, to become the first Dinton junior side to reach a Bucks Cup final. Congratulations to them all.

The final will be away to High Wycombe at 6pm on Wednesday June 30. It would great to bring along a good crowd to cheer on the Dinton lads - no World Cup matches that evening!

Under 13 Girls vs Bledlow Village OFF Today   23/06/10
Bledlow Village are unable to raise a team to play our under 13 girls at home today, Wednesday June 23, so the match tonight is OFF.

Karen is looking to reschedule the fixture, but this will probably have to be at Bledlow Village.

Dinton are Bucks Village Cup Champions   20/06/10
Dinton beat Stoke Green by six wickets in the Bucks final of the npower Village Cup on Sunday June 20. The Stoke Green total of 191 was chased down with 12 overs to spare. Ash top-scored with 79.

The first national round is on Sunday July 4, when Dinton will host the winners of the Essex & Suffolk region, Bentley CC.

Congratulations to Ash & the team.

Another Winning Weekend   14/06/10
A spectator entering the ground on Saturday afternoon would have performed two double-takes. First, isn't that Glenn Hoddle? (It was; his son was playing for Reading.) Second, Reading 62 all out? (They were; Scott 4w & Adam 3w.) Lee bowled penultimate ball trying to smash the winning runs; a win by 9 wickets, and nothing to do with the pitch.

The 2nds are 26 points clear of Cherwell div 3 after a 2-wicket win at Aston Rowant, Shaun and Mark getting 4w each. The 3rds stay 12 points clear in div 8, beating Leighton Buzzard by 6 wickets. Pat took 5-33.

The juniors got in on the act on Sunday, the under 13s in particular having a good win home to Cublington in the Bucks Cup quarter final. Semi away to Great Kingshill.

Remember, Village Cup Bucks final on Sunday, 1pm start.
