Junior Membership

22/04/09

Just to confirm: if you have a received a junior membership pack in the post then you have been allocated a place this year, and we look forward to seeing you at practice from April 23.
If you have yet to receive a pack then a place has not been allocated to you, at least not yet. We are currently emailing all those still on the waiting list to let them know their status.
Please note that because of the weight of demand we have decided not to take on any new junior members in the under 6 / year 1 age group.

Cricketforce Update, Saturday April 11

Yes it's raining, but don't let that stop you from coming down to the ground today to help out. If it's too wet to do any painting work outside then there is still plenty to do inside. A free Cricketforce T-shirt for the first 30 to arrive, and we've been promised hot drinks and doughnuts also..!

Oh Yes It's Ladies Night!

Ann Summers evening at the club, Friday April 24

Ladies! We're holding an Ann Summers night on Friday April 24 at the club, so come along for a night of laughs! It's all for a great cause as well, to help sponsor the costs of a couple of juniors to attend Academy Week in the summer.

Junior Newsletter and Membership Forms

The latest junior newsletter has been sent out to existing members today, Friday April 3, enclosing the 2009 junior membership packs.
The club welfare policies referred to on the membership forms can be read here, and the volunteer job descriptions here.

New ECB Coaches

We're delighted to announce that the club has five new ECB Level 1 coaches, who all passed their coaching assessments on March 21.
Congratulations to Tyrone & Kelvin Burrows, to Andy Lewers, and particularly to our first female coaches Karen Fisher and Sue Evans.
If you are interested in joining them on the 'coaching staff' then please contact Mick or better still speak to Tyrone, Kelvin, Andy, Karen or Sue to find out what the course was like!

Junior Newsletter

The first junior newsletter of 2009 is in the post to junior members, together with Academy Week information and forms. Take a look here.
The mailing to junior members includes a voucher for money off a new junior shirt for under 12s and up. (Coming soon: More news on club kit for 2009, including a catalogue.)

Last Chance to Book: ECB Assistant Coach Course

Bucks Cricket Board are running a further ECB Level 1 Assistant Coach course on Saturdays March 28, April 4 & April 18 at Aylesbury Grammar School.
If you would like to take part please contact Mick Lewers ASAP as places are limited and will be filled very soon.

Cherwell League Fixtures

23/02/09

The Cherwell League fixture list has finally been published, and Dinton's league fixtures can be seen here. The firsts start away at Shipton in Division 1, the seconds home to Twyford in Division 3 and the thirds play Stokenchurch 2nds at Long Crendon in Division 8.
UPDATE Feb 23: The thirds fixtures have been finalised and the website shows the correct schedule.

Indoor Nets Latest

16/02/09

Indoor nets continue on Sunday afternoons at Mandeville School up to and including March 29. Seniors and U16s/U17s train from 3:00pm - 4:30pm, and other junior age groups from 4:30pm - 6:00pm.
The final junior age group schedule is as follows:
  Sun Feb 22    under 14s & under 15s
  Sun Mar 1     Girls only (under 11 & up)
  Sun Mar 8     under 12s & under 13s
  Sun Mar 15    under 14s & under 15s
  Sun Mar 22    under 12s & under 13s
  Sun Mar 29    under 14s & under 15s
Under 10s & under 11s (years 5 & 6) will have three sessions at Stoke Mandeville Stadium from 6:30pm - 7:30pm on Sundays March 1, 8 & 15. The updated full junior schedule is here (PDF).

All sessions cost £3 per person per session, payable on the day.

npower Village Cup Draw

The draw for the npower Village Cup has been published, and Dinton are drawn away at Bledlow Ridge. Anyone with deja vu?
The match at Bledlow Ridge will take place on Sunday May 3.
