Another Win for the Firsts, Another Ton for Mike   06/07/08
That's 350 runs in three innings for Mike Sutliff, as he notched up another century on Saturday in the first's 9-wicket demolition of Leighton Buzzard.
This followed Mike's stunning 170 in the win over Abingdon Vale the week before.
It was so nearly three out of three this week, the seconds coming agonisingly close against Cumnor and the thirds seeing to Cropredy in some style.

Rainwatch: Friday 4pm - Assume Matches ON   27/06/08
Here comes the rain again...4pm update: Please assume that this evening's matches at Thame (U15B) and Great Kingshill (U9) are still ON.
Note that this is the last website update that we will be able to give today. For the latest news please contact Paul Furness (U15B) on 07796 656230 or Sue Evans (U9) on 07813 435472.

Woolly Mammoths, Herol Graham and the odd Rant   17/06/08
Access the Dinton CC ForumWhat's the connection? They all feature in this season's contributions to the Dinton CC Forum.
Junior match reports are extracting the latent journalistic talents from more and more of our juniors' parents. Meanwhile, Mick rants.
You don't have to register to read about the under 12s folk law (sic), outstanding catches but for the wrong side, unexpected cultural references to Henry V and neanderthal man's first attempt at a bouncer, but you'll need an ID and password to contribute. You can register on-line.
What are you waiting for?

Weatherwatch: Thursday 5:15pm All ON   12/06/08
Junior practice is ON.

The under 14s away against High Wycombe at Flackwell Heath CC are also definitely ON.

U13s vs Beaconsfield Weds: Match is OFF   10/06/08
Beaconsfield have failed to plan for their school exam week and cannot field an under 13 side against us on Wednesday. At this point we're taking the view that we would rather play cricket than claim the concession, and we're attempting to reorganise the fixture for next week. Watch this space.

Thursday June 5: Junior Practice ON   05/06/08
No news is good news!

Rainwatch: Wednesday   03/06/08
A hard rain's gonna fall...BOTH today's matches are OFF after yesterday's torrential rain. Dinton's outfield was under water in places, and there is no chance that a pitch will be ready in time for this evening.
Marlow Park's ground was flooded yesterday.
Ho hum. (Anyone know any more songs with 'rain' in the title? We're running out. Bet you hadn't noticed...see umbrella...)

Girls Cricket at Dinton   03/06/08
A new under 11 girls league is getting under way in Bucks, and Dinton are proud to be one of the first league entrants (along with Chesham, Great Kingshill, Gerrards Cross and a combined Buckingham & Wolverton team).
Rules and fixtures are still being worked out, but teams are likely to be 8-a-side and the matches will be played with an Incrediball.
Coaching for girls takes place during the first hour on Thursday evenings, from 5:45pm. There are still a few places available for girls in the under 9 to under 11 age groups (school years 4 to 6). If you are interested in joining or just wish to know more, please call Mick Lewers on 07973 257878 or email.

Rainwatch: Monday 5pm U15s AND U11s OFF   02/06/08
Is is because I lied when I was 17?The under 15s match home to Taplow and the under 11s match at Old Berkeley are both OFF this evening.
For the Taplow match we may get lucky and miss the rain, but given the distance the opposition have to travel we have agreed to share the points.
Great Kingshill have just told us that it is tipping down where they are. We are going to attempt to re-play this game at Great Kingshill this Friday June 6 at 6pm and we will try to field the same team as was picked for today. Please can those players contact Andrew to confirm their availability. Click on 'View team' against this new fixture above for Andrew's contact details.

U13s vs Taplow at Old Berkeley Tuesday OFF   02/06/08
Taplow have conceded Tuesday's under 13 match.
