Cherwell League - Promotion for the IIIs   10/09/07
The 1st XI took their relegation on the chin on the final league Saturday with an honourable draw at MK Park, Ashley Smith hitting an unbeaten century. The 2nd XI's spectacular batting collapse at home to Kimble didn't affect any league positions, but the 3rd XI's victory at Wallingford gained them promotion to Division 7 next season - many congratulations to Adrian Dell and his team.

Bucks under 17s final vs StokenchurchDinton will play Stokenchurch this Sunday September 9 in the Bucks under 17 play-off final. The match will start at 11am at Stokenchurch.
Dinton and Stokenchurch were winners of their respective under 17 district leagues earlier in the season, and are meeting to decide who are the overall Bucks title holders. It would be great to have as much support there as possible - here's how to find the ground. (NB They're not joking when they say 'unmade road'...)

Junior Awards Night   02/09/07
This Thursday, September 6, will be the last juniors practice of the season and also our awards night. We will run the first practice session for a little over 30 minutes, and then we will have a break to celebrate the past season and to present the annual awards, starting at around 6:20pm. The second training session will be an informal set of games starting at around 7pm until the light disappears.
We hope that as many as possible can be there to join in the fun and to congratulate the award winners. (NB If you want to know which junior awards are presented, take a look at last year's winners.)

Last Weekend of Cherwell League   02/09/07
One game to go, and it looks curtains for the 1st XI, who play at Milton Keynes Park on Saturday. MK Park are 27 points ahead.
The 2nd XI are safe in mid-table obscurity in division 3, but it's now nip and tuck in division 8 for the 3rd XI. Last Saturday's defeat let in Horspath, who are 6 points ahead going into the last weekend. (NB Thanks to the Cherwell League website folks for fixing the error in the division 8 table.)
