Club Dinner Dance, Saturday November 11

The club's annual dinner dance and senior player presentation evening will be at The Harrow, Bishopstone, on Saturday November 11, 7:30 for 8pm. Tickets are £25 a head, to include a three-course meal and a glass of wine.

The Sun Shines on England...

It was looking like a two-innings game early on, as excellent bowling from Michael & Jonny Morgan for South Africa had England at 20-4. But 50s from Michael Higgs and Dave Halsey pulled things around, and England posted a challenging score of 225. South Africa had no answer to Kelvin Ripley's initial 4-wicket burst, and Paul Gregory's grenades (5 wickets!) polished them off.
A superb day, in beautiful sunshine, enjoyed by everyone (especially England). It has to become a regular date in the calendar. Many thanks to all involved.

Juniors Meeting at the Club on Thursday

An open invitation to all of those with an interest in the club's junior section.
This Thursday September 14 at 6:30pm at the club we will be looking forward to the 2007 season to see if we should do anything differently from 2006. Please come along armed with comments, suggestions, criticisms but particularly ideas. We will finish no later than 8:00pm. Existing and prospective coaches, team managers, other volunteers and parents and carers all welcome, as are the juniors themselves. Hope to see you there.

Chairman's XI vs South African XI

This Sunday September 10 sees the re-arranged 'Test' between the Chairman's England XI and a South African XI. South African food will be available on the day, and South African ale at the bar! It's a 1pm start - come along and have a great time!

Graham & Michelle Run For Charity

Graham Davidson and his step-daughter Michelle Hughes will be running in the New York Marathon on November 5 for the Alzheimer's Society. Their ambition is to raise £2500 each. For donations visit Michelle's and Graham's websites. Good luck both!

6-a-side Tournament, Bank Holiday Monday

The Dinton CC 6-a-side tournament takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, with the first game starting at 10am. Teams from Ibstone, Tring, Buckingham, Tiddington, Kidlington, Thame and a 'South Africa 6' will be joining Dinton for the usual 'run-fest'. Here's the draw.

Under 13 Match Against Winslow is Off

We have had to cancel the under 13 match against Winslow due for Wednesday August 16 because of under 13 availability problems caused by holidays and injuries.

Under 15s Win Aylesbury District League!

Dinton's under 15s matched their under 9 counterparts this evening with a convincing 8-wicket victory over Northchurch to lift the ADL under 15 trophy. Further details to follow.
