The rain threat seems to have disappeared, but it's definitely a two-sweater evening. And that's just the umpires. The three junior matches this evening are ON.If you want to be alerted as soon as there is any further news, then you need to be a Twitterer (see below).
Here's THE place to be this year: twitter.com/dintoncricket.Follow what's happening at the club: match progress, weather reports, upcoming events and much more. If you're new to Twitter then sign up at twitter.com and 'follow' us, and on the way you'll learn why it's the Next Big Thing. If you're already a tweeter then you know what to do. The aim here is not to broadcast one person's ego; we hope to have a number of people contributing, from all parts of the club. If you would like to be one of them then speak to Mick, or drop a line to info@dintoncc.co.uk.
If any under 11s fancy an hour's extra coaching on Sunday morning please let Mick know, and he'll run an hour's coaching from 10:30 to 11:30.
We've put together a regular monthly list of what's happening at the club. You can download May's list here, print it out and stick it to your fridge door or somewhere equally prominent! There are also copies around the clubhouse. You may already have seen in your fixture booklet that we will be serving food at the club at least once a month over the coming season. The first such event is this coming Saturday May 9. Spread the word, and come and enjoy a great evening.
Training will be ON this evening.
Graham Davidson has just run the London Marathon again in aid of H.E.A.R.T UK, and you can visit Graham's fundraising page here. Leigh Hatton is cycling from London to Paris in September in aid of Ataxia UK, and Leigh's fundraising page is here. On their behalves, thank you for your contributions.
Unfortunately it is now raining heavily at Dinton again, and we have had to call OFF the under 12s match at home to Marlow Park this evening.
Just to confirm: if you have a received a junior membership pack in the post then you have been allocated a place this year, and we look forward to seeing you at practice from April 23.If you have yet to receive a pack then a place has not been allocated to you, at least not yet. We are currently emailing all those still on the waiting list to let them know their status. Please note that because of the weight of demand we have decided not to take on any new junior members in the under 6 / year 1 age group.
